Someone has ever asked sunny : does "Mier" has a English translation ? Sunny replied to the man without a second thought , "Mier is translated from it's pronunciation of Chinese “弥迩” ,which means in English "two partner in cooperation make business go fast .
There is a very interesting story about Mier when it was built by Sunny . Sunny was graduated from school in 2008 and worked on PCB manufacturing since then .
During 5 years work , she modified many kinds of gerber file including through hole pcb , HDI , and acknowledgeable in the process of PCB manufacturing .
When sunny built her website , she post the manufacturing process chart in order to make designer learn more about the manufacturing and help them layout the gerber .
Many customer has ever inquired sunny " If I want to get holes size 0.8mm ,how can I design the hole size in the gerber file regarding the copper thickness of the hole wall " It was a question that was asked by thousands of times during sunny's work in the company .
This is a question associated with the pcb manufacturing . Before the factory drill the hole and going to plate the hole , they will enlarge the hole to 0.95mm , ie 0.15mm more for plating , thus is makes sure the final hole size 0.8mm +/-0.15mm .
There is another question weight sunny a lot about the drills , it's the format . many of the green designer sent sunny the drill file in Rs-274x format , because the file with extension .txt , but they failed to understand the format which should be in Excellon .
Here is the difference between the .txt file in Excellon format and Rs-274x ,
Generally , drill size and drill coordinate should be compromised in the .txt file , then that is Excellon format which can be used for PCB manufacturing . please note : There shouldn't be "*" in the .txt file ,that is the signal of drill file in Rs-274x format .
